Ashton & Jake | Golden, IL

Ashton & Jake have a beautiful love story of God’s perfect timing. They both grew up in the same school district but due to a difference in age they never really knew each other growing up.   But just happened to connect when both being home many years later.
I have so many favorites about their wedding day.  For starters, their ceremony was so incredibly neat.  It took place in an old country church with no electricity, that’s right no electricity.  It was like we had stepped back in time, with the breeze coming through the windows, and afternoon sunlight pouring in. They couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather.  Another favorite was the fact that Ashton made all the bridesmaids dresses and her veil. How cool is that?!?! In addition, her sister Randi contributed her talents by designing and making all the flowers for this special day…and they were gorgeous!  But my favorite part of the day was the father of the groom’s speech at the reception.  He talked about how his wife was a woman of prayer, and that she had been praying for Jake’s future wife ever since he was a little boy. It was so evident that they couldn’t be happier that Ashton is the one God chose to make their son happy.  As a momma myself I think it is so neat to see all those years of prayer come to fruition, I can only imagine the joy that a parent must feel knowing their son or daughter has found the one that they had prayed for.

It takes a very creative person to have the vision that Ashton had for their wedding day, and then to execute it as beautifully as she did is exceptional.  Ashton, everything was perfection.  From the old church, flowers, bridesmaid dresses, Oh and let’s not forget how you took a pasture and turned it into a fairy tale reception. (I think one of my favorite photos is the very last picture I took of the night: your friends and family celebrating your love story under the stars on the most perfect June night.)  And Jake, thank you for putting up with all our ideas and driving us all around the farm. And of course for finding us the perfect location for your sunset photos! We absolutely loved being a part of your special day! We hope you enjoy a few (ok a LOT) of our favorites from your day.
