Emily & Tommy’s wedding day was a special one to us.  Why you might ask… well because Emily loved our work so much after seeing us photograph her friend’s wedding last fall she asked us to travel down to southern Illinois to capture her wedding as well.  What a compliment it is for her to WANT us to travel for her special day. (And she even told another friend about us so we will be back in Alton in a few weeks for her friend Samantha’s wedding, we love our southern Illinois brides!) Besides the fact that Emily and Tommy have to be the sweetest couple ever, they were so much fun to work with. They were open to all of our ideas and had so many incredible locations picked for their pictures, we were in location heaven. From the old buildings, old brick roads, ivy covered walls…the possibilities were endless.  Their ceremony was outside at the Amphitheater in Alton, so combine that with gorgeous weather and you have the perfect duo for a beautiful wedding. Talk about a neat venue, now don’t get me wrong I love a good church wedding but the amphitheater setting made for such neat pictures. The wide open atmosphere allowed us to capture their expressions from every angle as they exchanged vows, what bride wouldn’t love to have those pictures!?!
I could go on and on about their wedding day but we loved spending the day with them and it was a joy to document their love story, it was an absolute honor! Congratulations Emily & Tommy!
