This year we have been privileged enough to photograph several weddings of friends of ours. This wedding was no different. Shelby was younger enough than me in school that I didn’t have a personal friendship with her but the Peterson family has always been friends of our family. Our families grew up going to the same church so we have known each other over the years. And it is always so much fun getting to be a part of a wedding where you know so many people.
This wedding was a photographer’s dream when it came to details. No detail was overlooked and they were GORGEOUS. The flowers came from The Flower Shop in Carthage and Jerilyn never disappoints. They made beautiful accents to the girl’s beautiful dresses. From the flowers, jewelry, the heart felt notes that all the bridesmaid’s wrote to Shelby I could just go on and on about the details. But beyond the details was the love that these families shared for this couple. Most First Looks only have the bride and groom present, but Jordan and Shelby choose to have their families present and I have to say it was so neat. I love how you can see their families in the background sharing in the joy of this special day. Many tears were shared in that moment, and so I am sure that having their families in these photos will make them that much more special.
It was a gorgeous June day with beautiful country settings for the photos, and we are so excited to share some of our favorites with all of you! We hope you enjoy! Congratulations Shelby and Jordan!
