Who doesn’t love small town midwest weddings?!!! Where else can a photographer get a greeting with a hug to start the day? This day was an absolutely incredible representation and celebration of this sweet couple, and it was such an honor for us to be a part of it! So let’s just start with the fact that this couple is amazing. They’ve had to wait extra long for their blog post because we were gone on vacation and they have been so patient waiting for this post. So what better way to compensate than to share an excessive amount of photos!!!! But to be honest… they just had such a perfect day we couldn’t narrow down our favorites.
We started off Ryan & Laura’s wedding day in Laura’s hometown of Carthage and then headed to the beautiful Smokin’ Gun Event Center outside Hamilton, IL. It was our first time photographing a reception at this venue and we must say, it is gorgeous! The building and grounds are just BEAUTIFUL!
We LOVE our job and seeing how happy and excited Laura & Ryan’s friends and family were for them makes the day even more special. Laura & Ryan are the type of couple that you can become instant friends with. They make you feel welcomed and loved and like you have known them forever! And that was so evident by the number of family and friends that had traveled near and far to celebrate with them! When we went to leave at the end of the night Ryan said, “So that’s it? All this time together and now we don’t see each other anymore?” I quickly reassured them they could always come back and see us for family pictures in the future! 😉 We absolutely love all of our Creative Touch Couples and feel so blessed to be able to become a part of their lives during this special season of their life and though we may start as strangers, we walk away as friends. What a blessing our couples are to us!!!
Laura & Ryan, we absolutely adore you two! We are so excited for you as you start off your married life together, and we wish you nothing but the best!! You guys have been so much fun to work with and we had so much fun getting to know you both! We hope you enjoyed that honeymoon and we are SO excited to share some of our favorites from your wedding day with you!
