We are so excited to be sharing Katie and Kayden’s blog with you all today! If you live in the midwest you know just how hot the end of June was. IT WAS HOT. We are talking heat index of over 100 degrees hot! What’s funny is two years ago we photographed Kayden’s cousin, Lea’s, wedding and at the time we all thought it was such a hot June day. But it wasn’t anywhere as warm as Katie and Kayden’s wedding day. Even with the insane heat they didn’t let that stop them from taking advantage of the GORGEOUS locations we had access to in Columbia. We started the day at the Columbia Country Club for their getting ready and detail photos and were instantly blown away by their reception area. The tables, details and florals were incredible. It was the perfect place for us to take their detail photos. Next we headed to the church and I instantly knew that we HAD to get some pictures out front. The front of the church was so gorgeous. (Just wait until you see those photos below!) And the locations just kept getting better from there! Katie and Kayden both went to Mizzou so we headed there after the ceremony. I’ll be the first to admit that I always love good architecture for photos, but Mizzou’s campus was unreal! We made a stop at Memorial Union and it was incredible! See what I mean when I say we had lots of great locations for photos?!?! But it didn’t stop there, we finished up back at the Country Club for a few more photos and the most gorgeous reception were they got to celebrate with so many of their family and friends.

Katie & Kayden, it was such an honor to be a part of your wedding day. We have enjoyed getting to know you both over the past few years. And despite the hot temps we hope your wedding day was everything you hoped it would be! Thank you to you and your amazing families and bridal party for braving the heat with us all day.
