Jordan is one of my oldest friends, we grew up spending many a play dates together. Our families have been close friends far before our time so we really have been friends since the very beginning. Growing up you would have thought we were brother and sister, as much as we fought over silly things like Homecoming Decorations, but at the end of the day we were always there for one another. Now here we are 10 years after high school and though we don’t see each other much we can always pick up where we left off. So this wasn’t just any engagement session, it was one that was extra special to us! (And took much longer than most because we kept stopping to chat and catch up!)
It was so much fun to meet up with Jordan and Emily in Quincy at this GORGEOUS old downtown building. With the unpredictable Illinois winter weather we planned to do most of the shoot inside and it was SO worth it. The architecture and natural light in this building would make any photographer swoon. It was incredible, not to mention unique. We hadn’t ever done such an industrial setting for an engagement session but it was sure fun to do! We are looking forward to Jordan and Emily’s May wedding but for now we can’t get over how much we loved being a part of their engagement session and capturing this special stage of their relationship. Here are a few of our favorites from their session.
